MacKenzie House Directions

The Canso Causeway provides the only roadway link to Cape Breton Island with the mainland of Nova Scotia. Anyone traveling along Route 104 toward the island must travel across this vital link which incorporates a railway & highway. MacKenzie House is located only four kilometers from the island side of this gateway to Nova Scotia's masterpiece, Cape Breton Island.

Follow Route (4) / 104 toward Port Hawkesbury and in about 4 minutes look for the first right turn after leaving the rotary above the causeway. This right turn is identified as "Embree Island Road". Tupper Court is the only street off Embree Island Road.

Travelers entering Port Hawkesbury from Sydney (104) or Dundee (4) will be on the Old Sydney Road. At the second set of lights, turn right onto Reeves Street. Continue on Reeves Street through two sets of lights and down a long hill. Turn left on Embree Island Road and the right onto Tupper Court.

The MacKenzie House sign at the end of the street offers guests their first impressions of the hospitality that awaits inside, and a warm welcome to all who visit.
